Greek Vanilla Slice

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of filo pastry
  • 200g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Icing sugar and ground cinnamon to garnish

Method

Step 1
Scrunch up filo pastry and place in a Re-lite 28cm Fry Pan.

Step 2
Pour melted butter over filo and place it in the oven on 200°C until golden brown.

Step 3
Take it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Step 4
Mix all other ingredients in a salt&pepper mixing bowl and stir well for a few minutes.

Step 5
Pour mixture over filo pastry and bake at 160°C for about 20 minutes.

Step 6
Serve on your salt&pepper dinner plate, can be eaten warm with sprinkled icing sugar and cinnamon over the top.
