Ingredients
- 4 lunch size bread rolls
- 4 slices ham, thinly sliced
- 4 eggs
- ¼ cup cheese, grated
- 1 tsp fresh chives or parsley, to garnish
- Salt and pepper
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Using a small sharp knife, cut a round hole in the top of each roll and remove the tops. Hollow out the roll by scooping out the centre filling, leaving a 1cm thick shell.
Step 3
Place the hollow rolls into an Albany Baking Dish. Line each bread bowl with a slice of ham, this will prevent the egg from soaking in.
Step 4
Carefully crack an egg into each bread bowl, sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 5
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes or until egg white are completely set and yolks are cooked to your liking.
Step 6
Remove from oven and serve in Albany Baking Dish, season with salt and pepper and garnish with chives.
