Ingredients
- 1 shot of vodka
- 250g chopped watermelon
- 15g shredded lime
- 15mL sugar syrup
- Garnish - mint sprig and leaves
Method
Step 1
Using a sharp stainless-steel knife, cut 250g of fresh watermelon into small chunks on a large cutting board. Use a micro-grater to roughly shred the skin of two limes onto a dinner plate and set aside.
Step 2
Add your watermelon chunks to a blender and using a jigger to measure, add your shot of vodka. Blend the mixture well until a smooth consistency.
Step 3
Pour your sugar syrup onto a flat dinner plate then dip the rim of a salt&pepper Winston Double Old-Fashioned glass into the syrup.
Step 4
Once the glass has been evenly coated, dip the rim of the glass into the shredded lime skin. Ensure you rotate the glass slowly into the lime skin to ensure it adheres evenly to the rim.
Step 5
Pour the watermelon-vodka cocktail mixture into the prepared Winston DOF glass.
Step 6
Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and leaves.
