Ingredients
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 red onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 good quality pork sausages
- 340g fusilli pasta, cooked per packet instructions
- 1 cup passata
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups mozzarella, shredded
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Spray olive oil
- Season to taste
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C fan-forced.
Step 2
In a saucepan, sauté onion and garlic in the olive oil for 5 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
Step 3
Add the sausages, squeezing the meat out of the casings into chunks, and sauté for another 5 minutes until browned.
Step 4
Add the passata and tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 5
In the meantime, cook your pasta and drain it off.
Step 6
Once the sauce is done, add the pasta to it and combine well.
Step 7
Spoon the pasta mixture into the Amana Rectangle Baking Dish and top with mozzarella and breadcrumbs, slightly mixing them into the top layer.
Step 8
Spray with olive oil generously then bake for 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Step 9
Remove from oven and serve. Enjoy!
