Serves  9

Ingredients

Dough
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 3 cups bread flour
Filling
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
Icing
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • ¾ cup icing sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250g cream cheese

Method

Filling

Step 1
In a large salt&pepper bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar, mixing them thoroughly.

Icing

Step 1
In a separate bowl, add butter, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and icing sugar.

Step 2
Mix the ingredients until a smooth and creamy icing is formed.

Dough

Step 1
In a large bowl, pour warm milk and add yeast, stirring gently with a Tool Spoon.

Step 2
Add sugar, butter, and eggs to the milk yeast mixture, and mix well.

Step 3
Gradually add flour to the bowl, stirring with a Tool Spatula until it becomes difficult to mix.

Step 4
Use your hands to knead the dough until it reaches a smooth consistency.

Step 5
Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it with cling wrap. Allow the dough to double in size.

Assembly and Baking

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Step 2
Once the dough has doubled, roll it out into a rectangle on an Industry Chopping Board, aiming for a thickness of ½-1 cm.

Step 3
Spread butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 4
Roll the dough into a tight log and cut using a sharp knife into about 15 pieces.

Step 5
Place the rolls into an Albany Round Baking Dish lined with baking paper, arranging them closely together. Allow them to sit for about an hour to rise and puff up.

Step 6
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Step 7
Let the cinnamon rolls cool slightly before applying the cream cheese icing.

Icing and Serving

Step 1
Spread the prepared cream cheese icing over the slightly cooled cinnamon rolls using the Tool Pastry Brush.

Step 2
Serve the cinnamon rolls in the Albany Round Baking Dish on your table and serve on to Hostess Dinner Plates.
