Ingredients
- 150g unsalted butter
- 4 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup un-stabilised oats
- ¾ cup caster sugar
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Line your Sunday Bake Baking Trays with non-stick paper.
Step 3
Place butter and golden syrup in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals until the butter has melted. Add baking soda and stir to combine (it will bubble).
Step 4
Add flour, oats and sugar to the bowl and stir.
Step 5
Roll the mix into balls 1 tablespoon at a time, gently flatten and place 2.5 cm apart on trays.
Step 6
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until deep golden.
Step 7
Remove from the oven and stand on trays for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
