Golden Anzac Biscuits

Anzac Biscuits are absolutely not just for Anzac Day! We created these ones for year round baking and the best bit, they are so quick and easy.

Ingredients

  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup un-stabilised oats
  • ¾ cup caster sugar

Method

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 2
Line your Sunday Bake Baking Trays with non-stick paper.

Step 3
Place butter and golden syrup in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals until the butter has melted. Add baking soda and stir to combine (it will bubble).

Step 4
Add flour, oats and sugar to the bowl and stir.

Step 5
Roll the mix into balls 1 tablespoon at a time, gently flatten and place 2.5 cm apart on trays.

Step 6
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until deep golden.

Step 7
Remove from the oven and stand on trays for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
